Why has the death of a singer - albeit an extremely talented and successful one - affected so many? The fact of the matter is Michael Jackson was more than just a singer or even an entertainer. He was the icon of a generation. It would not be wrong to say that many of us would have grown up listening to his songs. But just as we grew up with Michael, so too he did he grow up with us. Without a doubt, his music was his centrepiece. It was the medium with which he used to reach out to the world, and impart his messages to the world.

Part of Michael's prowess in controlling massive audiences was with his utilisation of radical dance moves coupled with striking and futuristic attire. He knew how to stand out like no other, the world was his stage, and he would put on one hell of a show. His style was fluid, bordering modern break dance and liquid motions.
